Dear reader,
I am Jinal, Founder at Dookdi.
My practice is meditation on the disintegrating and decaying as embodied in the process of creation.
I am trained as a sculptor. With no formal education in jewellery design, My practice moves fluidly between mediums to find the appropriate expressions.
At Dookdi, the process of creation is similar to prayer, a slow attentive journey of healing. Every pieces is born out of the belief that we are part of nature and not apart from it, and reconnecting constantly with the meanings of the mundane.
various organisms and nature’s phenomenas become vehicles of the inner mental projections. They sometimes become wearable objects.
I invite you to be a part of our journey by experiencing our piees.
Here is a link to my explorations before Dookdi was formed.
